| Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsunday Islands and is located on mainland Australia north of Mackay and south of Bowen. Airlie Beach foreshore is linked with a boardwalk around to Coral Sea Resort, Abel Point Marina, Shingley Beach and Cannonvale Beach. There are many gardens and beaches along the way to choose your perfect wedding venue. If you have access to a vehicle, there are other more secluded beaches including Conway, Dingo and Hydeaway Bay. To hold your ceremony on public land (ie; beaches, foreshores, recreational areas, etc), you may require a council permit. | We have award winning gardens designed in a Balinese style which will be featured on "Better Homes & Gardens" March 2012. We are more than happy to offer our garden "free of charge" to my eloping couples for their ceremony (maximum of 8 guests). This is a private and tranquil location situated 2.6km from the heart of Airlie Beach. |

Whitehaven Beach is a Public Beach and a permit is required to hold your ceremony, please contact National Parks & Wildlife on 4946 7022 for enquiries. You may find your co-ordinator or transfer company, already hold permits for weddings, so it is best to discuss this matter with them first. Whitehaven Beach is located on the Eastern side of Whitsunday Island. For easy access from the mainland via seaplane, contact Air Whitsunday on 4946 9111. If you prefer a helicopter, contact Aviation Adventures on 4946 9988 or Hi Aviation 4946 8249... If you are staying on Hamilton Island, you will need to organize your Whitehaven experience through Hamilton Island Weddings on 4946 8515.
To access Whitehaven Beach via boat, there are many day excursions to choose from if you are looking for a very casual day or you may prefer to privately hire your own vessel, making the ceremony more personal.

| If you find a resort on one of the 74 Whitsunday Islands, you will find the island is either privately owned or leased. This means you are entering private property and you will need to organize your ceremony through the island co-ordinator. Do not hesitate to contact me for further details. |
