Whitsunday's Marriage Celebrant

The Whitsunday's is a popular spot for weddings. With the numerous resorts, islands and tropical gardens to choose from, many interstate / overseas couples travel to our warm climate for their special ceremony and I hope you also choose this romantic destination. Our winters are warm, dry and sunny, with superb weather through Spring. The Whitsundays has a monsoon season and is often wet, hot & humid January - March.

Where ever you choose to be married in Australia, your celebrant needs to receive a "Notice of Intended Marriage", also known as the NOIM. When completing this form, please print neatly in black pen and ensure your details match your birth certificate and your signatures are witnessed by an approved person (as described on page 4 of the NOIM) prior to sending me your NOIM.

Please read the instructions carefully on page two of the NOIM document. Click here to download NOIM. The NOIM needs to be received by your celebrant at least one calendar month prior to your ceremony (IE: ceremony 9th February, NOIM needs to be lodged no later than 8th January) but no earlier than 18 months before hand.

Each party requires proof of birth ie: birth certificate if born in Australia, birth certificate or passport if born overseas (an Australian Passport is not an approved birth identification). If either party has been previously married, then evidence of how it ended must be provided (a Death Certificate or a Decree Absolute for divorce). These must be original documents.
